Resurrection's STREAM initiative, which includes Literacy in every content area, blends the following subjects:

• Science (Anatomy, Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Ecology, Physics, Life Science, Geology)

• Technology (Coding, Computer-Aided Design, Digital Tools, Networks, Simulations)

• Religion (Catholicity, God, Bible, Charity, Church, Creation, Faith, Social Justice, Saints)

• Engineering (Architecture, Building, Design, Engines, Machines, Robotics, Structures)

• The Arts (History, Literature, Music, Painting, Philosophy, Public Speaking, Sculpture, Theater, Writing)

• Math (Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, Trigonometry, Probabilty, Statistics)

 

Teachers present real-world problems, project-based learning, and support student collaboration. The end result is a holistic education that prepares students for success in high school and beyond. Elements of the STREAM Initiative include use of the following:

• STREAM Lab

• Makerspace

• Project Lead the Way curriculum

• Math Hub space

• Support from the STREAM Coordinator

• Guest speaker opportunities

• Partnerships with community organizations (e.g. Urban Works, Black and Veatch, Donnelly College)
